Are ODSP payments taxable?
ODSP basic-needs and shelter payments are not taxable. Recipients may still receive a T5007 information slip for reporting purposes, but it does not create ordinary income tax the way employment earnings do.
Can I get ODSP and the Canada Disability Benefit?
Yes. Ontario has stated that the Canada Disability Benefit is exempt income for ODSP, so it does not reduce core ODSP support.
