Terms of Service
Benefit Check .CA
Effective Date: May 15, 2026 | Last Updated: May 15, 2026
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a contract between you and Global Web Rise ("we," "us," or "our"), the operator of BenefitCheck.ca. By using the website, the calculator, or by completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. The Service
BenefitCheck.ca provides estimates of eligibility and approximate amounts for Canadian government benefit programs (federal and Ontario provincial). The calculator is free to use. You may also create a free account to save information, access your dashboard, and return to your calculations. A one-time payment of $1.99 CAD unlocks the paid full report for the email address used at checkout.
The full report includes:
- Detailed application steps for each program for which you may qualify.
- Documents to prepare and official application links.
- Deadlines and expected payment dates.
- Tips to help you maximize the benefits you may be entitled to.
- Paid report access tied to the email address used at checkout.
A free account and a paid full report are separate. Signing in for free does not unlock the paid full report. If you buy the full report and later sign in with the same email address, we may link that purchase to your account so you can access your paid report from your dashboard.
3. Pricing and Payment
- All prices are stated and charged in Canadian Dollars (CAD).
- The full report is a single one-time payment of $1.99 CAD. There is no subscription and no auto-renewal.
- Creating a free account does not create a paid purchase and does not unlock the paid full report.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
- You will receive a Stripe receipt by email immediately after a successful charge. The receipt also serves as your tax record.
- Applicable taxes (if any) will be displayed at checkout before you complete the purchase.
4. Refund Policy
If you have not yet accessed the full report, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase. If you experienced a technical problem that prevented you from accessing the report, you may request a refund within 30 days. Full details are in our Refund Policy. Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 or other applicable consumer-protection legislation.
5. Accounts, Sign-In, and Purchase Access
You may create or access a free account using a passwordless magic link or, where available, Google sign-in. A free account lets you access account features such as your dashboard, saved calculations, and profile management, but it does not by itself unlock paid report content.
After a successful purchase, we send a transactional email to the address you provided at checkout. That email may include a Stripe receipt, a direct report access link, and a magic-link sign-in URL. When you sign in with the same email address used at checkout, we may bind the purchase to your account and mark your account as having paid report access. We use passwordless sign-in to reduce credential risk; we never store passwords.
You are responsible for keeping access to your email account and Google account, if used, secure. Anyone who can access your email may be able to use a magic link to access your account or paid report.
If you lose access to that email, contact us at contact@benefitcheck.ca and we will work with you to restore access where reasonably possible.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into the calculator. Our results are only as accurate as your inputs.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the Services without our prior written permission.
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the report or other paid content.
- Share, resell, publish, or transfer paid report access links in a way that allows another person to avoid paying for their own report.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts, paid reports, our systems, or any data outside what is intended for you.
- Use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purpose, or to transmit viruses or malware.
- Interfere with the Services for other users.
You are welcome to publish honest reviews, opinions, or comparisons about the Services. Nothing in these Terms restricts your right to do so.
7. Disclaimers
BenefitCheck.ca is not affiliated with the Government of Canada, the Government of Ontario, the Canada Revenue Agency, Service Canada, or any other government agency. Estimates are based on publicly available formulas and the information you provide; actual benefit amounts are determined by the relevant government agency.
The Services are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice. You should consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account, or disable access to a paid report, if you breach these Terms, misuse access links, engage in abuse or fraud, or act in a way that harms other users or our infrastructure. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and an opportunity to cure first.
We may discontinue all or part of the Services with reasonable advance notice posted on the website or sent by email. If we discontinue the paid full report before you have had a fair opportunity to access it, you are entitled to a refund.
You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. Deleting a free account does not automatically refund a paid report, and we may retain limited purchase records as required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. To request account deletion, contact contact@benefitcheck.ca.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Ontario law, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002, the Sale of Goods Act (Ontario), or any other applicable consumer-protection legislation, including any non-excludable warranties implied by those statutes. This Section does not exclude liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. You retain all statutory rights granted to consumers under Ontario consumer-protection law.
We do not require mandatory arbitration. We do not waive your right to bring or participate in a class action. You may bring a claim in any Ontario court that has jurisdiction.
Before formal proceedings, please contact us at contact@benefitcheck.ca so we have an opportunity to resolve the issue directly.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page and post a notice on the website. For changes that materially reduce your rights, we will give you at least 30 days' notice where reasonably possible. Continued use of the Services after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. General
Entire agreement: these Terms together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services and supersede any prior understandings on the same subject.
Severability: if any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
No waiver: our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.
Assignment: we may assign these Terms to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business, with notice to you.
